BIS Hanoi hosts its first scholars’ evening

On Thursday, 4 September, BIS Hanoi welcomed families to our very first Scholars’ Evening.

The event celebrated students from Primary through to Secondary who have been awarded scholarships this year, recognising their achievements across academics, sports and the performing arts.

Parents beamed with pride as they watched their children walk across the stage to receive their certificates. The hall filled with applause and smiles, before the evening continued with wonderful performances from our talented students. Families then came together to capture the moment with photos, making the night one to remember.

The Scholarship Programme at BIS Hanoi is about more than just awards. It is a way to celebrate excellence, encourage ambition and give students the confidence to take the next step in their journeys, whether that is in academics, athletics or the arts.

At the same time, it inspires the whole school community, raising aspirations and creating a culture where talent and hard work are recognised and valued.

Geonyoung (Year 12), recipient of Performing Arts Scholarship, shared how much the scholarship means to him and how it will support his goals for the future:

“This scholarship is approval of my hard work and passion that I've made in BIS Hanoi. This is a really great addition for my personal profile that I will apply for university, and it will help me to achieve the goal that I wanted.”

This first Scholars’ Evening is the beginning of a new tradition for BIS Hanoi, one that we look forward to continuing each year as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students together with their families.
