ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS

• Cynthia Vega

  Mrs. Vega has 25 years of experience in the fields of Strategic Financial Advise and Corporate Finance and has worked since 2005 as Partner-President of Grupo Estrategia Solución (GES).
  
  Before returning to the Dominican Republic she worked for JP Morgan Chase in New York and was a Member of Dominicans on Wall Street and the Board of Trustees of The Ethel Walker School. She was also Vice President of the Stock Exchange in the Dominican Republic and is currently a member of FINJUS and the Council of Directors of APEC.
  
  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wellesley College with a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in International Finance and Business from the University of California-Berkeley.
• Daniel Aquino

  Industrial engineer with over twenty-five years of managing experience in different business areas, characterized by a results-oriented style and a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving.
  
  Mr. Aquino is the President of Kantor Business Group, a consulting firm dedicated to advising and representing foreign companies, mostly European, interested in contracting and executing infrastructure projects in the Dominican Republic.
  
  He played an important role in the transformation of a textile manufacturing plant with a traditional production line system to a Just-in-time system. He also participated in the design and implementation of quality control systems: sampling, inspection and registration and analysis results. In addition, he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of two Venezuelan companies that provide services to the oil industry.
• Julianna Canals

  Mrs. Canals is a Saint George School graduate and mother with a BA in Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. She joined the professional world by working at Pellerano and Herrera with clients that were focused on foreign investment in the country. She then worked for the legal department of the tourism complex Roko Ki handling all legal needs of the company. In 2011 she founded Pujols-Canals Consultants, offering legal services to local and foreign customers. Mrs. Canals is part of the International Committee of the Biotechnical Research Center of the Robert Reid Cabral Hospital.
• Kenneth Broder

  Originally Mr. Broder had aspirations of becoming a medical doctor and studied pre-medicine at Pace University in New York. Upon graduation, he taught biology and science for a year at Saint George School. He then returned to his native New York, where he headed the Admissions Department of the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. When he came back to Dominican Republic in 1982, he engaged in the restaurant business, leading three of the best restaurants in the country. Through the years in his restaurants, Mr. Broder was known for bringing unusual wines from California and Washington State, so it was only logical that when he sold the restaurants in 1993 his new business would be the importation and distribution of wines.
  
  Since then he has been importing the best brands in the local market. Mr. Broder is one of the founding members of the Young Presidents Organization and is part of the Ballet and Symphony foundations. He also served as Chairman of the National Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

• Miguel Franjul

  Mr. Franjul is the President of Franjul Corporativa with more than 18 years of experience in the public relations, communication and crisis management fields. He has a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and graduated with honors in a Masters in Public Relations from the Universidad Católica de Santo Domingo. He also has a Masters in Business Administration from Barna Business School. He completed specialized courses in communication at the University of Iowa in USA and in the Dominican Republic.
  
  Mr. Franjul delivers workshops and lectures on Public Relations and Communication at different universities and writes special articles for the newspaper Listín Diario. He has interviewed important personalities such as: Hillary Clinton, Rudolf Guiliani, George Pataki, Rev. Al Charpton, Governor McGreevey, President Jean Bertrand Aristy and Jorge Ramos, among others. He is a specialist in trading and technology transfer and serves as consultant on corporate image and communication.
• Mr. Christopher Campbell - HONORARY MEMBER

  Christopher John (Chris) Campbell arrived in the Dominican Republic on October 23rd 2015 to take up his post as Her Majesty’s Ambassador.
  
  Mr. Campbell joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1982 and has worked in North America Department, the Secretary of State’s Private Office, Polar Region Section and Conflict Group in London. In addition, Mr. Campbell has worked overseas in the UK Embassies of Khartoum, Dhaka, Jakarta, Caracas, Brussels (NATO) and San José (including Managua as Ambassador) prior to taking up his posting in Santo Domingo.
  
  As The Ambassador, Mr. Campbell represents Her Majesty The Queen and the UK government in the country. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
• Sandra Tejeda

  Mrs. Tejeda is a Saint George School graduate and mother. She is an industrial engineer with a Masters in Senior Management from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) with a Certification in Human Resources. She formally started her career at Claro’s Quality Department and has 23 years of experience in the company’s HR processes. She has also worked as an independent Human Resources consultant for small and medium enterprises of the Dominican market. Since July 2014 she is part of the Revisión de Procesos Committee for the Cooperativa Telefónica Institution.
