International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) – Sunshine Coast, Australia | July 10–20
Our outstanding student Baldwin H. had the honor of participating in the IOI, one of the most recognized global competitions in informatics. Joining other Dominican students with the support of the Ministry of Education, Baldwin competed against the brightest young minds in computer science, showcasing problem-solving, creativity, and perseverance at the highest level.
Ibero-American Olympiad in Informatics (OII) – Sucre, Bolivia
In addition, Baldwin H. and Mael C. proudly represented the Dominican Republic in this continental competition. We are thrilled to share that Baldwin was awarded the Silver Medal, a recognition that places him among the very best young programmers in Latin America and Spain. This accomplishment is a testament to the discipline, logical thinking, and innovation cultivated here at SGS. We also want to highlight Mael’s valuable participation in this international competition, where his dedication and commitment showcased the great talent of our SGS students.
VII International Math Olympiad – Colegio Colombo-Gales, Colombia
Adding to these triumphs, three SGS students were recognized among the top performers at the VII International Math Olympiad. The event welcomed 8,264 participants from 15 countries, yet only 1.26% reached the finalist stage. For our students to be among this select group is a truly exceptional milestone.
