Weekly Highlights is a weekly newsletter sent by the BVIS Leadership Team to parents, providing updates on notable news and activities at the school. The newsletter consists of three main sections: updates from the Principal, Head of Primary, and Head of Secondary.

Dear Parents,
Can you believe it’s almost December? I’m not sure where the 1st term has gone! As I say almost every week though, it’s only getting busier! We are excited for Sports Days and our big show – Matilda!

Get ready to be utterly captivated at our production of Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda Jnr’ the musical! For the first time at BVIS, students in Year 6 are joining our secondary students to bring this magical tale to the stage this December.

This week we shared with our BVIS Community details of our BVIS 15th Anniversary Offer for referring families or siblings to our school.

We recently hosted Senior Leaders from Nord Anglia Schools across the world. It is at these times, we are reminded about what a special place BVIS really is in offering a high-quality International Education suitable for all nationalities while also maintaining the integrity of the Vietnamese language, culture and identity.
Please do share this 15th Anniversary offer with family and friends, benefit yourselves, and let’s share how amazing BVIS really is.
As I mentioned earlier, the end of term is extremely busy. Sports Day, Our Big Show, KS1 shows, Parents Evenings and our Christmas Fayre!
Join us on Saturday, December 6th for Festive Fun and Cheer. We are excited to join you in celebrating the magic of Christmas. Have you bought your raffle tickets yet? There are some amazing prizes on offer!
If you are interested in being part of the festivities and having a booth or supporting prizes for the raffle, please do get in touch with the marketing team. Details are below.

There’s lots more information in both the primary and secondary sections, please do keep reading!
Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead.

Should you wish to contact your child’s Class Teacher(s) or Form Tutor directly, we encourage communication to be written in the language you most feel confident to use.
Parents may also find it useful to contact their child’s class teacher(s) or form tutor directly for all individual queries about their academic work/social and emotional wellbeing in school. Individual contact details can be found in the Parents’ Handbooks or via our Primary/Secondary Receptionists.

We kicked off the week with an inspiring class assembly from 3I, where students passionately highlighted the importance of preserving the rainforest.
The week culminated in a delightful Christmas show from Year 1, showcasing their talents and festive spirit.
We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming Year 2 performance next week and the highly anticipated school production of Matilda, where our Primary students will have the opportunity to act alongside their peers from Secondary. Exciting times are ahead as we continue to celebrate our students’ creativity and collaboration!

We are delighted to celebrate the success of our second Healthy Habits workshop for EYFS parents! Thank you to all who attended and engaged in discussions about promoting well-being and healthy lifestyles for our little ones. Together, we are making a positive impact on the health and well-being of our children. We look forward to more collaborative opportunities in the future!

We are excited to announce the FOBISIA Primary Writing Competition, an engaging opportunity for our students to showcase their creativity and writing skills on a broader platform. The conference covered a wide range of themes from the use of AI in education to sustainability and courageous leadership. It was a great experience being able to not only listen to leaders in other schools and other areas of expertise, but also to have the chance to present. Something that both myself and Ms Stanley were asked to do. My session was centred on leading schools and people through the current change in digital educational landscape.
