After three years in Hanoi, Alex moved to BVIS HCMC in 2022.
During teacher training and soon after graduating, he worked in a number of schools with vastly different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. These experiences best prepared him for international teaching, starting in the United Arab Emirates.
Through a lot of hard work and development there, Alex was welcomed to British International School Hanoi, where he had the opportunity to contribute to a growing sporting ethos and develop an updated P.E. curriculum. He furthered his career by becoming Head of Year at BIS Hanoi, where he demonstrated his commitment and passion for the pastoral care and wellbeing of students — a dedication further reflected when adopting Head of House roles at BVIS HCMC.
He believes that Physical Education has a lifelong, positive impact on students' health and social skills through practicing and developing teamwork, competition, and resilience. He strives to encourage students at BVIS to believe in their talents and potential in any subject or hobby.
Outside of work, he has a passion for photography and engaging in as many sports as possible.
