Admissions

Katie is a born and raised south Floridian.  She attended the University of South Florida, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and minor in Psychology. Katie also obtained a Master of Science in College Student Affairs and Graduate Certificate in Advanced Conflict Resolution Analysis from Nova Southeastern University.

Most recently, Katie worked as the Director of Undergraduate Admissions at NSU Florida, where she led a team of admissions officers, oversaw freshman yield events and programming, and coordinated freshman scholarship interviews. Katie also served as a First Year Experience instructor, facilitating a safe and welcoming space for incoming students to build community, and make the transition from high school to college. She is passionate about guiding students and families through what can feel like an overwhelming process, helping them feel supported as they take such a big step towards their future.

In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, stand-up comedy shows, Florida Panthers games and long walks with her rescue dog, Grover.

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Sarahfina obtained her Bachelor's in Communications and Media Studies from Adelphi University, followed by her Master's in English from Southern New Hampshire University.

After relocating to South Florida, Sarahfina began her career in higher education as an Assistant Director of Admissions at Nova Southeastern University. In her time there, she had the pleasure of guiding students and families through the admissions process. She was involved in organizing counselor programs, traveling for recruitment events, and supporting the school’s marketing efforts—all of which gave her a well-rounded understanding of how to connect with students and share a school’s story in meaningful ways. She also taught as an adjunct professor, an experience that deepened her enthusiasm for education and student development. It reignited her love for writing as well, which remains a creative outlet and personal passion. 

Born in New Jersey and raised in Broward County FL, Jonathan pursued his education at Broward College, earning a degree in Supervision and Management before obtaining his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. His academic background, combined with a passion for helping students find the right educational fit, led him to a career in admissions.

Prior to joining North Broward Preparatory School, Jonathan worked as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Nova Southeastern University where he focused on enrollment management and building meaningful relationships with students and families. He is known for his approachable demeanor, attention to detail, and dedication to creating a welcoming admissions experience for all prospective families.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys traveling the world, playing pickleball and spending time with his wife and 3 children.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Kacie moved to Florida where she attended Nova Southeastern University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management and minor in Marketing. Kacie also obtained a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Florida Atlantic University.

Most recently, Kacie worked as the Coordinator of Marketing, Promotions, and Revenue Generation for NSU Athletics, where she led marketing, ticketing, and community engagement efforts while co-advising the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Kacie has also served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Conine All-Star Golf Classic, supporting the Conine Clubhouse at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. She is passionate about creating positive and memorable experiences for students and the local community.

In her free time, Kacie enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Roman.
