At Nord Anglia Education, we believe every child’s journey should be as unique as they are. Across our nine international schools in China, we focus on each student’s personal learning style, strengths, and ambitions—helping them achieve excellent academic results, secure places at top global universities, and, most importantly, discover who they want to become.
But today’s world demands more than strong exam scores. The future belongs to young people who are curious, confident, creative, resilient, globally minded, and ready to solve problems we haven’t yet imagined. This is why learning at Nord Anglia goes far beyond the classroom.
Through our world-leading collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG Academy, and our transformational global expeditions, we create opportunities that broaden students’ perspectives, elevate their skills, and inspire them to think—and live—boldly. These experiences not only enrich their education; they shape their character, empower their ambitions, and give them the mindset to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Inspiring Innovation with MIT: Where Students Become Problem-Solvers
Today’s world demands innovators—young people who think critically, collaborate confidently, and tackle complex challenges with creativity and purpose. Our global collaboration with MIT, one of the world’s foremost STEAM institutions, gives our students the opportunity to do exactly that.

Through hands-on, interdisciplinary challenges developed with MIT educators, students learn to investigate, experiment, build, and think like real scientists and engineers. They explore global issues spanning sustainability, technology, climate change, and society—seeing firsthand how their ideas can shape the world around them.
Each year, our students take part in MIT-inspired STEAM challenges that embody MIT’s distinctive “learning by doing” philosophy. Whether designing chain-reaction machines, exploring kinetic motion, or creating solutions for sustainability, these experiences show students that innovation starts with curiosity, creativity, and the courage to try, fail, and try again.
Our teachers also benefit from MIT-led professional development, ensuring every classroom is infused with cutting-edge thinking that sparks curiosity and nurtures creativity.
This year’s MIT Student Trip was another tremendous success. Seventy Nord Anglia students from 55 of our schools immersed themselves in STEAM experiences at one of the world’s most prestigious universities. Beyond hands-on workshops in engineering and physics, they explored advanced research facilities and tackled solutions to pressing global challenges. We were especially excited to learn that one winning idea from our students will be tested on a zero-gravity flight next year.
This annual experience is a powerful example of how our MIT collaboration brings world-class innovation directly into Nord Anglia’s classrooms—empowering students to become the problem-solvers and changemakers of tomorrow.
Creating Global Citizens with UNICEF and Service Learning

Academic success is important—but the world needs young people who care, who lead with empathy, and who understand their role in shaping a better future.
Through our long-standing partnership with UNICEF, we embed the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into learning across our schools. Students participate in meaningful social impact projects, explore global challenges, and take action through service learning, fundraising, volunteering, and advocacy.
Every year, Nord Anglia students join workshops, seminars, and speaking opportunities at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum in New York—using their voices on a global stage to inspire change.
Whether through CAS activities, local outreach, or Model United Nations, our students learn that leadership is not just about achievement—it’s about purpose, responsibility, and making a difference.
Unleashing Creativity and Confidence through The Juilliard School
Performing arts are far more than what we see on stage. They nurture self-expression, empathy, teamwork, creativity, and cultural understanding—skills increasingly essential for future leaders.
Through our exclusive collaboration with The Juilliard School, the world’s most renowned performing arts institution, students experience an enriched curriculum in dance, drama, and music guided by Juilliard’s philosophy and expertise. This partnership brings world-class artistic learning into our classrooms, inspiring students to explore their passions, express themselves confidently, and build resilience.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Juilliard–Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme has become a transformative force across our schools. Students engage with Juilliard’s curated Core Works, participate in artist visits and workshops, and access the Juilliard Creative Classroom’s extensive resources. Over the past decade, the programme has empowered tens of thousands of students and educators—strengthening creativity, elevating participation in the arts, and helping students become confident, expressive global citizens both on and off the stage.
Whether or not they pursue the arts professionally, students carry these lifelong skills into every area of learning—and into their future careers.
Building Resilience and Excellence through IMG Academy
Success in life requires confidence, discipline, and resilience—traits often built through sport. Our partnership with IMG Academy, the world’s leading sports education institution, brings world-class training and wellbeing coaching into our schools.
Students benefit from elite athletic techniques, mindset development, leadership skills, and healthy lifestyle habits guided by IMG’s performance experts. Teachers also receive professional development from IMG coaches, strengthening the quality of sports education across our schools.

From 2025, students will gain exclusive access to IMG Academy Elevate—bringing elements of IMG’s world-class training and wellbeing curriculum directly to Nord Anglia schools. Whether attending weeklong training events at IMG’s state-of-the-art Florida campus, joining on-campus sessions with visiting IMG coaches, or learning through online modules focused on confidence, nutrition, and mental performance, students develop both athletic ability and a strong, healthy mindset.
This holistic approach helps students thrive on and off the field—building self-belief, emotional strength, and the determination to take on any challenge.
Broadening Horizons through Life-Changing Expeditions

Nord Anglia students have access to some of the most transformative expeditions in international education—experiences that expose them to new cultures, environments, and perspectives, and help them grow in ways classroom learning alone cannot.
At our centre in Arusha, Tanzania, students take part in impactful community work, building and maintaining school and village facilities. In Les Martinets, Switzerland, they undertake challenging outdoor adventures—mountaineering, self-led navigation, and team survival activities—that build perseverance, independence, and leadership.
Through regional and global trips, cultural immersion, and outdoor discovery, our students develop courage, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of the world—and of themselves.
The Nord Anglia Difference: Preparing Students for Life
All these global collaborations, co-curricular opportunities, and transformative journeys are woven into our internationally recognised curriculum and our commitment to holistic excellence.
